Is Hard Working The Secret to Success? 😳

Some people say “Hard work is the key to success”, Some even say Hard work beats Talent.

So the question all boils down to, Should you work harder?  Is hard work the key?.
Alright.

Everyone is really working hard. Billions of persons all working 8-10 hours a day to make some money. Some persons work for over 30 years and end up with little saving and pension, so would you say hard work is the key?

According to Forbes, as of March 18, 2020 there were only 2,095 billionaires worldwide and just 4 Billionaires in Nigeria. Only Less than 0.005% of the world are billionaires.

Now the question is, are the billionaires working hard or smart?
Did they work harder to get ahead? Was it all luck?

Or They were just very smart...

What is the difference between hard work and smart work, you asking?

Hard work means putting in a lot of time and effort doing a certain amount of work. Whereas, smart work means spending less amount of time performing the same amount of work.

So it all boils down to TIME MANAGEMENT!

Working hard involves a lot of tedious work which is carried out traditionally. But, if people work smartly, they can achieve more output by working in an automated way.

Hard work utilizes the traditional format of working. On the other hand, smart work involves using new and technological methods them to yield better results.

People who work hard sometimes feel that they weren’t able to achieve their set goal. Smart workers attain their goals faster through proper time management.

A simple way to turn hard work into smart work is by understanding the aftermath of the process. Rather than focusing all the attention on just the work, think about all the alternatives that can be undertaken to do the same amount of work in less time and less workforce. Set deadlines and goals that they should achieve in a set timeframe and prioritize the important tasks first. This way you will not waste a lot of time on unimportant things.

Contrary to this, some people believe that there is no replacement for hard work. Working smart is a shortcut that doesn’t work at all stages of life. Still, smart work has no doubt worked for many and is till an essential similarity amongst all billionaires. If one can achieve the same quantity of work at the same time, that is not exactly a shortcut; it is just a better alternative.

If you can incorporate working hard and smart together, you will achieve great heights and lead yourself to a better life. One who works hard and smart will in due course of time procure all the benefits and rake in the golden opportunity to probably not work at all.

Here are some of the ways to work smart!

Business automation is when you take the entire process of your business, from adverts to explanations, to prospecting, to customer payments and create an online 24/7 access to them.
Only you can’t talk to 100 persons a day
follow up with 100 persons a day,
go and meet up with 100 persons a day,
Still run adverts and follow up on your adverts every day.

  • Just Make a Call:Instead of writing emails and sending whatsapp messages, sometimes it’s better to pick up the phone and talk to the person responsible. It saves time, especially for important or urgent discussions. If that colleague works in the same office, it is even better to go and talk to him or her. It gives you a break, you get some exercise and you actually make human contact which is becoming quite rare in this electronic world.
  • Make a scale of preference:

One of the most common economic terms is a Scale of Preference. A scale of preference can be defined as the list of wants or needs that a person writes or comes up with in order of importance.

Here, the person puts his or her most pressing needs or wants at the top of the list and then the less important needs go to the bottom of the list.
A scale of preference can help you eliminate less important tasks and let you focus on the most importance tasks. This will definitely increase your effectiveness in every area of life and also give you a better health.

    Conclusion

Hard work has never been the secret and will never be.
Smart work is the secret to success.
